Email of the week

Fair comment in this general broadcast email from our corporate support staff:

Subject: Kitchen

Security Classification: Unrestricted

All

I know it’s only the first week at our new tenancy but is there any chance that people could keep the kitchen relatively clean.

Do you really think it is acceptable to leave dirty dishes in the sink (with the rubbish excuse of “I’ll come back later and wash them”)?

Would you do that at your home? If you would, then go home and do it and don’t do it here, where others have to clean up your mess.

Can we please make some sort of effort to think of other staff members. I know this is a foreign concept to some people but just give it a try and see what happens.

Cheers

"Would you do that at your home?"

Duh.

Obviously a lot of people do exactly that in their own homes, so it's a dumb rhetorical argument, isn't it.

I've never been a leave-things-in-the-sink-person (I stack things neatly, and according to utensil type), but the sink-dump is common practice for others.

"... just give it a try and see what happens."

Wow, now I'm rivetted. Can't wait for the follow up to find out "what happens" when people stop leaving crockery in the kitchen sink.

Will world peace break out?

Will gerbil worming be reversed?

Will profits triple?
