The back-flipping Bolt politburo

A post at the Andrew Bolt blog today gets off to a rip-snorting start:

When [Kevin Rudd is] not expelling Israeli diplomats to appease Muslim countries...

Gosh, and most of us thought the expulsion was in the way of a slap on the wrist for the officially sanctioned abuse by Israel of official Australian documents. Oh yes, we know everybody does it. But when you get caught doing it in the course of an officially sanctioned murder plot in yet a third country, well then some meaningless, token reprisal is only to be expected.

Yesterday Bolt thought the expulsion was “abother [sic] typical piece of Rudd spin, designed this time to distract attention from his mining tax disaster.”

But today Bolt seems to think it’s all about “Kevin Rudd’s desperate campaign for a temporary seat on the UN Security Council.” Which, needless to say, is all because of the PM’s “vanity”. (Mirror mirror...)

What Bolt may think tomorrow is anyone’s guess, but we can be certain it will all hang on some real or imagined failing of the execrable Rudd.

Back in late April, when Bolt was raging against the British Met Office and sundry civil aviation authorities for the closure of European airspace due to the volcanic ash emergency, one of his readers commented:

Please please please let these idiots get sued and lose!

While most of us gave up praying to the Wish Fairy before we entered adolescence, the evidence to date suggests at any rate that the Wish Fairy was not listening as that plaintive cry rose to the heavens.

Although it’s not clear just whom that reader wanted to “get sued” — whether the Met Office, or civil aviation authorities as a bloc, or all of the above, and perhaps you for good measure — it really didn’t matter, you see, as long as someone gets their arse sued.

The Bolt politburo wishes it so.

What an interesting place is the Boltburo. What a lovely collection of fellow-travellers. A visit to the site is akin to wallowing in a Roman bath filled with vitriol, bile and putrescence. The hate is pervasive.

Love the imbeciles who rubbish Rudd for his only policy - "whatever it takes; do whatever it takes" - never once considering that state murder facilitated, in part, by the falsification of other countries' documentation, is exactly what they denigrate Rudd for.

Logical reasoning is, evidently, not a requirement for enlistment in Bolt's hate driven army.

From the same thread:

I for one applaud Israel’s resolve in ridding the world of maggots like this bloke they topped. And if it requires the clandestine usurping of some passports, so be it.

What you have said here is mental, the man killed was a gun-runner for Hammas, they fire rockets into Israel killing hundreds of people.

Whatever it takes; do whatever it takes.

This, though, takes the cake:

so ..can you provide us with the clear evidence -proof and indeed real names of the killers of the said person....? where is your proof that would fit/hold up in a court of law..not hear-say...well...eitherwise retract your allegation…

Evidently the documents were not faked at all and those Aussies and Brits actually committed the murder on behalf of Israel eh?

Oh you steely-nerved soul, you actually dove into the comments??? For treatment of inevitable effects, urgent medication with at least 3 black beers is recommended.

Hmmm, the legal eagle who demands "proof or retraction" seems blissfully unaware "said person" was summarily killed without the benefit of such public scrutiny.

Doesn't matter though, the Boltburo isn't about "the facts" -- it's a forum for venting, which has its place (though it would be nice if some token adherence to logic were attempted).

But mostly it's about the Great Bolt, who yesterday gave his readers an insight into his lonely journey:

I remember with both pride and embarrassment how my teacher and classmates at my new school looked at me with more respect when I finally bopped two bullies on the schnozz... I do wonder if that experience, among a few others, is why I refused to be deterred from taking the stands I have in the past decade.

No-one can really know, but his current chronic megalomania and narcissism may have more to do with those unexplained “few other” experiences.

The "few others" do not merit close scrutiny one feels.

I have to admit that ploughing through the morass of muck that are the comments on the Boltblob... er, blog... I do feel the need for corrective action. Several beers may well wash away the effects. Indeed I believe a pair of pork knuckles - slow roasted, served with sauerkraut along with potatoes and bacon slivers, and basted in beer - might just do the trick tonight with a beer or three.

Awww Father Park, you made me look too.

Interestingly, Bolt is known to censor commenters who aren't quite 'on message', but seems comfortable enough with the following kind of hysterical drivel:

"This guy [Rudd] would be right at home running Zimbabwe. And don’t for a moment think this guy wouldn’t run death squads. He will run country down so badly that he would protect his interests in the extreme when it comes to that."

Death squads?? Yeesh... but that's pretty innocuous compared with:

"Anybody who allows our country to go to the dogs, just so they can feel good and be part of the progressive elite and are traitorous to the core [etc etc etc] should be in front of many rifles with a blindfold on. And KRudd would be the first."

I'm afraid there's only one thing for it -- a purgative beer or three.

Rudd tasks him here, and narks him there,
Trounced Howard fair and beat him square.
Bolt can ne’er forgive him so it’s definitely detest,
'Cause he's a dedicated execrator of Kevin.

And when he writes his hate-filled blogs,
From the tabloid of Melbourne Town,
Eagerly abetting all the latest hate-filled threads,
'Cause he's a dedicated execrator of Kevin.

Oh yes he is (oh yes he is), oh yes he is (oh yes he is).
He works up his polemics like any other prat,
But when he wets his frilly nylon panties that’s alright,
’Cause he’s a dedicated execrator of Kevin.

Oh yes he is (oh yes he is), oh yes he is (oh yes he is).
There's one thing that he loves and that’s self flattery.
One time punching schoolyard bullies now he’s “taking stands”
'Cause he's a dedicated execrator of Kevin.

Rudd tasks him here, and narks him there,
On the Treasury seats once Howard’s chairs.
Every thread Bolt’s hate-filled army happily bilges on,
Each one a dedicated execrator of Kevin.

Oh yes he is (oh yes he is), oh yes he is (oh yes he is).
Bolt’s world is built 'round diatribe and “Ruddipics”.
This hatred fanning demagogue has to lead the rest
'Cause he's a dedicated execrator of Kevin.

Oh yes he is (oh yes he is), oh yes he is (oh yes he is).
He flirts with preselection just like a butterfly.
In matters of the polity he’s as right wing as can be,
'Cause he's a dedicated execrator of Kevin.
He's a dedicated execrator of Kevin.
He's a dedicated execrator of Kevin.

"Execrator"

God I love the English language!!

Bolt the Execrator.

Rudd the Execratee.

Millions will flock to the formerly execrable Kevin in appalled reaction to the execrationary antics of Looney Bolt the Execrator. Dog becomes underdog. Execratee becomes Exulted. Oh okay, maybe not...

By the way, I forgot to mention Bolt changed his spin on this story - from "Rudd spin designed to distract attention" to "Rudd’s desperate campaign for seat on UNSC" - evidently after he learned that was the spin Abbott & Co were going with.

Not that I'm suggesting he's an unprincipled Liberal front, but I was anyway intrigued with your lyrical sugggestion that Bolt "flirts with preselection just like a butterfly."

Bolt as a Liberal candidate? What a gift that would be to non-Coalition parties Australia wide!

From memory his hat in the preselection ring was raised on Insiders some years back. It may well have been in jest by Matt Price if I remember.

Damn close to the mark though.
