Before I answer that, consult the front sleeve/cover of your copy of Abbey Road - see the little VeeWee parked on the left kerb...?

(Gowonn... I know you have a copy of that album...)

So, it's missing LMW and it's not a Vee Dub?

Err... missing Lower Murray Water? I think I must be missing something.

Anyway, the story is that this car is the Ford unit we recently purchased to replace my terminally failed Holden unit.

Meanwhile my niece is a Holden Fan (she has one of those 'worked' Crumpledores with the instruments lined up in a row on the driver's-side pillar) and was horrified to learn I'd purchased a Ford.

So to ease her pain, I got my nephew to help me photoshop the Ford badge off the grill and substitute a Holden badge.

Now my niece is horrified that I've desecrated the Holden badge by placing it on a Ford.

Niecie hates the Beatles as much as she loves Holden - due, she says, to Beatle Overkill when she was growing up - so for a stir we also superimposed the 28-IF on the plate.

Took her a while to get that, but now she tells me, perhaps correctly, I have too much time on my hands.

Oh yes, the Paul-is-Dead meme. A while ago I found a whole website devoted to the whole Paul-is-Dead thing. Interesting reading for anyone who remembers the 'controversy'.

Hmm, maybe I do have too much time on my hands.

You've got a point there, Craig. Victoria is distinguished as being the only state having a rego-plate slogan that begs the question: "...for what?"

Sure, we have some pretty places around Victoria, such as Wilson's Promontory, Hall's Gap, and many others. But the other states have beauty spots of similarly breathtaking appeal. (Only NT has Uluru, of course.)

So to complete the slogan, perhaps: "... when you can't be some other place."
