Ahhh, the serenity...

Duck Saturday...line astern.

Ok. So much for the serenity. Now for the Rectrory multi-media centre on tour. In the cottage...

And, of course, in the boat: DVD with 'phones for the kids, digi-cam for the Lady Rector (somewhere), digital camera (and black beer) plus the last day of the VRC carnival (on the stereo) for Father Park. Serenity indeed!

Absolutely wonderful Mike.

Top spot!

So relaxing, sitting outside of the cottage with a black beer or two eh?

But tell me,what does the better half drink?(Yes, you know I mean Anne-Marie!)Can't imagine she'd be into the black beer, more a good red, kinda girl I would think??

Btw, should have brought the shotgun, with those sitting ducks.

I'm intrigued by the groovy headgear being worn by the Rectory crew in the last pic.

I reckon Anne-Marie wouldn't sneeze at a cool, clear VB, cruising on a sunny day. Entirely in moderation, of course. And to wash down the good red, of course.

Indeed Kath, those ducks are just asking for it.

The headgear is that prescribed as respectable by the Immam of the Mosque of the Blow-flies of the Prophet's Cammel's Incontinent Arse.

The flies - not the huge dunny-bees of the Snowies - were in clouds. Such head gear interferes with my libations and so I was reduced to alternating between Aeroguard and a tube of hands-free repellent every twenty minutes.

If you are familiar with the Borg, then you will understand what I mean by "they have adapted!" . In the end, the Lady Rector and postulants opted to "raise shields". I, on the other hand, elected to alter my weaponry frequency at twenty miniute intervals.

To suggest that this was to facilitate imbibing is absolutely correct.

The Lady Rector enjoys the odd decent red and white but has a small failing for port. Once in a thirsty while she will have a refreshing ale.

Indeed, many moons ago when Chuck Hahn actually owned his Hahn brewery, we'd go in for his tastings. Mmmm, wonderful memories of Hahn premium - the unaduterated by Lion Nathan original - on a short pull and Chinatown thereafter.

Actually I think that these flies - the little annoying bastards that club around in clouds - were, in fact, species 8742.

Ahh, time for a black beer...and it's only 11.12 am. Resistance is futile....
