Yes we can, Amen
US President Barack Obama recently recalled “one of the great honours of my life,” his meeting with Billy Graham at the Reverend’s “mountaintop retreat”:
Before I left, Rev. Graham started praying for me, as he had prayed for so many presidents before me. And when he finished praying, I felt the urge to pray for him. I didn’t really know what to say. What do you pray for when it comes to the man who has prayed for so many? But like that verse in Romans, the Holy Spirit interceded when I didn’t know quite what to say.
And so I prayed, briefly, but I prayed from the heart. I don’t have the intellectual capacity or the lung capacity of some of my great preacher friends here that pray for a long time. But I prayed. And we ended with an embrace and a warm goodbye.
As ABC presenter Andrew West suggests, when an incumbent POTUS is “making sure everyone knows that he prayed with Billy Graham,” then the re-election game is decidedly on.
Hopefully Obama won’t get to the point where God starts telling him to do stuff... such as another misadventure in Mesopotamia, or Persia or somewhere.

I went to see Billy Graham when he came to Sydney back in the 60's. Twas then I realised that people were on the whole sheep, and wanted to be slaughtered. I was convinced of this when clean faced devotees appeared with very big buckets to relieve the sheep of their savings.
I had no idea what Billy G was talking about, and couldn't understand why so many people fronted up to be reborn, when it was obvious to me they were already born.

And the Yanks are just sort of genetically hardwired for it all. Mind you, that's priceless coming from the city of Hillsong.
The Stones summed it up....
Well the preacher kept right on saying that all I had to do was send
Ten dollars to the church of the sacred bleeding heart of jesus
Located somewhere in los angeles, california
And next week theyd say my prayer on the radio
And all my dreams would come true
So I did, the next week, I got a prayer with a girl
Well, you know what kind of eyes she got...
So spoke the wizard in his mountain home...
