Weird Building Friday

As my cousin Jack remarked on the weekend when I showed him this photo...

It’s no mean feat to begin with a nice, clean sheet of paper and wind up drafting something like this.

Amsterdam, January 1981

Wow. Certainly an unusual look, eh Jarcob.Do you know if any others were built in that style, or was it a one off?

I'm certain it won a Frankston Architectural award….

Obviously they had left over materials, and, rather than being wasteful, shoved on some extra bits.

Waste not, want not!

Yes Caz, the Dutch are known for 'thrift'. Or 'abstemiousness', or 'abstemity', or something like that.

Kath, never got to know Amsterdam all that well but in light of the abstremity of the Dutch, this can't be a one off.

Frankston, as cosmopolitan as it is, can only dream of hosting such a marvel.
