Is that a pic of a Murray Cod?
Not as often as I'd like. It's a beautiful place on those big high pressure system days of flat water, no wind and accommodating fish.
That is indeed old man Murray cod (greenfish) - caught by Josh (that's his rod loading up on strike off Cave Island). It went back in to continue swimming about and fattening up.
Lots of fossils on that island.
Love to be there next week for school hols but no can do.
Ah, there it is.
Was thinking the fish in the first shots had mighty strange fins.
And mighty strange swimming habits.
And damned mighty big for such a shallow lake, which I figured accounted for their strange swimming habits.
