That should be "considered."
Too early in the morning for me!

Goats? In the Ilk Club?

We'd need to convene an extraordinary meeting of us old goats to consider it at the very minimum.

Sadly many baby goats are Sunday roast fodder. Similarly a friend who works on a dairy farm tells me that most of their newborn calves are trucked straight out to the abbatoir.

Cuteness doesn't mitigate commercial imperatives. (I think Benjamin Franklin or Adam Smith said that.)

I move the resolution that we should in principle allow goats membership of the Ilk Club. But we can keep the little blighters out with some written test on values and Ilk knowledge.

Some goats, of course would be barred.
Goats that are obviously not of our "Ilk."
The Head Butting Heidleberg mountain goat springs to mind.

Yes indeed Jacob: the Ilk test would be madatory.

Perhaps someone of Andrews' or Ruddock's ilk could advise us?

The Head Butting Heidleberg goat? A new species that Kathy?

Must be related to the Philip of Macedon goat who, when only once defeated in battle, "withdrew, only to but the harder".

Aww, so darned cute.

[And again I had to scroll down and down and down and, in search of the *missing* goats!]

Why Father, would we ever consider having any type of meeting other than the most extraordinary kind?

Hear, hear!

All those in favor of have a big whoo-dee-doo extra-ordinary meeting, say EYE, EYE, or EAR, EAR!

EYE EYE!! EAR EAR!!

And dare I say, BAAA BAAAA!! (He said as the room of Ilks fell silent...)

An extraordinary meeting would, of course, demand extraordinary quantities of the most extraordinary 'refreshments'. (He said as the room of Ilks fell riotous again...)

I'll second that myself, and then drink to it.

Of course, there must be extraordinary refreshments, of every flavor.

Oh, how I love a well organized Ilk meeting!

What if they threw a war and nobody came?

The Ilks go to war???

Why on earth are the Ilks throwing a war???!!!

The refreshments can't possibly be that sub-optimal?

I shall investigate the possibilities today. The Parks shall descend upon the Lane Cove River Park today for their annual Chrismas conviviality.

Refreshments of all sort guaranteed.

Bag of wood, BBQ fish, decent schoolies (prawns not kids), garlic prawns in Father Park's camp wok, ham salads and....black beer.

Kids galore too.

Lane Cove River Park?

Named after an ancestor of yours, Father Park?

The spread sounds sensational... enjoy!!!

Long day's recovery into night.

Curry at the Indo-Lankan resturant for lunch and my innards are being visited by indigestion something chronic.

Haven't even checked the photos yet. A typical Park Christmas: much food and drink and the obligatory cricket game.

I managed a couple of wickets, a four (then out), a dozen blacks and a bottle of red. Would have taken a screamer at cover had I put the red dowm and used both hands.

Oh well, least I didn't spill any.

All in all a highly successful day then!
