Future Ilk Club President

Ilk Club founder and President, Father Park, in more innocent days. Taken sometime around 1970, there is an edge to the innocence. Already the makings of an unchecked ego are readily apparent and the eyes betray a growing tendency to sick, very sick racist thoughts and bigotry. There is a clear air of the developing grotesque liar about the face.

Dreaming of Marsha Brady (in a thoroughly "G" rated fashion), future moon shots, of a bigger telescope and of one day being able to afford that Airfix "Superkit" of the Supermarine Spitfire, young Father Park had no inkling that one day he would become the founder and founding President of the infamous Ilk Club.

Nice kid!

It's often so true that future greatness is written on the face.

But it often betrays the sick, very sick stuff too. For instance, that wave modulating your left eyebrow (on the viewers' right) should have been a warning sign of what was to come.

Never liked Marsha, the swotty little drama queen.

Jan was the tops.

Wow Mike! Josh looks so much like you I reckon, looking at that pic.

A face certainly destined for greater things!

Shame about the hair though!

There's a saying " Grass doesn't grow on a busy street"

And so it came to pass for you dear padre.

Yes...hair. Just where did it go??

Most likely a by-product of turning singualrly sick, et al.

The eyebrow is a dead giveaway. That "wave" just screams pride.

Nowadays it resembles one of JWH's bushes.

OMG - how utterly, utterly adorable!

You've even got a touch of the Mona Lisa going on, with a wisp of a smile.

Very Ilkish, if you ask me.

Yes, even then, a boy who know he would found great things as a man.

PS - separated at birth, hey what?

Yes, Josh is very Bertie... or vice versa. Not sure about Caitlin, have to track down some pics to put it to the test...

And now Bertie has mentioned his enthusiasm for space exploration, I'm reminded that he and I have disagreed vehemently (well, kind of vehemently) on that very topic, for one, contrary to HH's shallow assumptions.

You'll recall, won't you Bertie, with a shudder my remarks on that topic at another forum (reproduced here as 2005: A Space Obituary)? An incredulous Father Park tried in vain to talk (as he saw it) some sense into this unbeliever.

Yes, yes: that goes back some. Did I demand that we go to Mars? Did I demand that we fully fund Zubrin's Mars project?

Did I lecture you on having given up the faith and ditched the dream of leaving low Earth orbit?

If I didn't., I should now begin....

Dr Smith has been at it again.

NASA cancelled Sunday's launch attempt of space shuttle Atlantis when a sensor in the shuttle fuel tank failed for a second time during routine preflight checks.

How embarrassingly 'routine' this is becoming...

Yes, well, the "technology" is in excess of thirty years old. This is what being glued to low-Earth orbit brings: stagnation.

In fact, should NASA achieve its objective and return to the Moon, it will be in what amounts to Apollo hardware fed steroids.

Father Park on another recent thread:

"Enjoy Pahoff, Lataan and the endless rounds of senseless abuse."

Ahuh. you mean like this?

"a fraud and prevaricator"

"You can't be stuffed with it anyway. A pic here, a superficial rant there. Park posts something with meat, and you shit your trousers.

"Oh, the sky has fallen in, close the blog.

"Ridiculous."

"'Relentless attacks'??? Oh, get a fucking grip."

"You have people here who slander whole people as "degenerate" but don't raise an eyebrow."

"Fuck off with your preciuous [sic] blog."

"Look, Pahoff/Noxious, or whoever you are, you moron. I don't do 'debate' with sockpuppets. "Please provide links" to support your own stupid slimy claims."

"Anything else, Mister Slime?"

"If not, then fuck off."

"... you maggot"

"... you grub"

"Look, Pahoff/Noxious, or whoever you are, you moron." "sockpuppets." "troll" "your own stupid slimy claims." "Anything else, Mister Slime?"

"If not, then fuck off."

"Joffa Boy"

"I had to come back here to chase up some slime who was spewing bile"

"YOU LIED. AGAIN."

"I'm happy to be out of here while ever a slime like Pahoff is given free run of the place"

"You have people here who slander whole people as "degenerate" but don't raise an eyebrow"

"I'm guessing Father Park will return sometime this weekend. He may be horrified to find what's heppened [sic] here while he was away and seek a more convivial portal. Hope not, but I could understand if he did.

"Cheers, CraigW, and feel free to drop by anytime.

"No more hate. Promise."

"Jeez, sometimes I'm just too conciliatory by half."

Well as it heppens [sic], it seems Father Park is right at home.

Geoff, you really need to find something else to obsess about.

Actually, I found a video of Geoff, a little worse for wear (it is Christmas party time),having a few words to say in his inimitable coy and friendly fashion.

Can't work out if it's Jacob, Lataan, Heidelberg or myself he's aiming this at. Any guesses?

Ahuh.

And your point, Pahoff, would be exactly what...?

That people on whom you spray your lunatic bile are more than prepared to give back some?

No apologies. Grow up.

And what's your piddling little problem with 'Joffa'?

It's a widely used diminutive on the name 'Geoff'. One of our people where I work, named Geoff, often refers to himself as 'Joffa'.

You take exception to it? Well, stiff!

'Joffa Boy', a creation of Syd Halen (if memory serves), was a middle-aged man dressed in school uniform with knee-britches whose tiresome antics kept us mildly amused whilst watching Uncle Norman's cartoon corner.

In other words, a clown!

Oh, and why the insistence on trolling anonymously?

Oh that's right, you "won't give Stam the satisfaction of appearing on his blog", or some such nonsense.

hahhaahhhahhahaaahhhhahahhahahhhhaaaaaahhhh!!!!!

By the way, let's have no more "coded death threats". People might begin to think you're unstable or something.
