Out on bar stool we’d sit,
And burning eucalypt we’d breathe,
We’d watch the bushfire flash over gum forest
Laugh and think, this is Australia.
Or, should that last read:
Laugh and drink, cuase, this is Australia
Out on the patio we drink
Sit on our arses, try to endure the stink
Of charred eucalypt and roast marsupial
