That Bush & Howard chemistry

At President George W. Bush’s and Prime Minister John Howard’s joint press conference in Washington last week, each of the select journalists in attendance were allowed two questions each.

In the Australian contingent was Phillip Coorey of the Sydney Morning Herald:

Mr. President ... Your relationship with Mr. Howard is obviously very close, personally. And I was wondering, first, could you just expand a little on that chemistry?

Forget about what the President’s actual response was to the question. Rather, let modern science be your guide.

Molecular biology suggests it has something to do with the pheromones each organism emits, as the alpha organism bends over to present fleshy rump, while the beta’s oral sphincter contracts (‘puckers up’) to deliver tactile stimulus.
