Interview question of the week
Friday night on Lateline, Virginia Trioli interviewed John Hartigan, chairman and CEO of News Limited, regarding his participation in the Rudd Government’s 2020 Summit.
Andrew Bolt [a News Limited columnist] described the 2020 summit this way — those who are taking part in it: “These 1,000 leftists, rent seekers, courtiers, string-pullers, patsies and token tamed conservatives...”
Now, John Hartigan, which one are you?
Neat...

Didn't Andrew get invited?
Hadn't heard he was there.
Patsies?
I think patsies sums it up for all of them.
I'm pretty sure numerous attendees felt well and truly suckered by the time the weekend was over.
The architects in Cate's group were mighty miffed that no-one was interested in the built environment. They didn't have input to anything. Just shags on a rock among a bunch of people wanting to set up arty hubs and artists in resident at schools.
The brilliant minds at 2020 had a disturbingly narrow interpretation of each of their subject areas.
I don't think any journalists were attendees, but some newspaper owners might have been.
