tribute to The Man

watch at youtube

The Chaser’s typical ABC hate-drenched character asassination satirical lampooning piss-take on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Australian Prime Minister John Howard’s ascendancy to the Top Job.

(Seems like only last year...)

Now now Jarcob. You run the risk of becoming a political hate site. You will now have to post something about the other side to even the slate else you seem relentlessly partisan.

You could lift one or ten from somewhere else?

Oh my, yes...

And in the interests of balance, I could do no better than to direct readers to the link on the right to Harry's Club Chaos.

I'm thinking maybe the slogan "Kevin Rudd eats his ear wax" could replace the present "Kevin Rudd talks in slogans" slogan.

Have you guys had a gander at that tool, trolling over at Harry's?

What a pretentious git!

Sheesh, the standard sure has lowered since you guys left.

Yes, it's all a bit of a shame actually. Wish fish bit the way they are. Then again, I'd likely grow bored of fishing.

I thought of replying to Hamish, but, what's the point? "Hyperbole" I can deal with. Rank personal abuse is another matter.

Perhaps Greg Hynes was a Harry avatar?

I had a brief look but I'm not really interested enough to figure out what the hell they're all on about.

Che tee-shirts, clowns... it's all the same.

Yes I know. I too have the occasional read and it's rather relentless.

Craig W ought to know better than to bite at whoever "Jeff" is.

A site for a fellow who isn't out to "make friends"? Got that right: some of it's becoming quite "feral" in content and comment; not to say "relentless". The comedic or light and "pissy" rounding has been skewered and is dead.

Ancient Warfare was delivered yesterday. I am now officially famous for the time it takes for a half-arsed fart to dissipate.

Perhaps I should betake myself to Napoleon's Bookstore - in the "culture quarter" - to sign copies??!!

Then tapas and Spanish red at Capt. Torres afterwards like any good "author"?

Good one Bertie.
"The drinks are on you," then!

Just cannot believe how that f**kwit Jeff is working Harry.

Has certainly sucked Harry in big time!

" I quite enjoy being insulted too" so says Harry!

As Caz would say, What a crock of shite!

Jeez, is it still going on over there?? Well, I guess there's a whole world of things to disagree about, limited only by the time one has to put into it.

So, Ancient Warfare has hit the streets!! I'll look out for it in the more discerning newsagents.

Perhaps down the track, Father, you could post a wrap-up of learned reaction to your article. Boiled down for us laypersons, of course.

I did in fact read your piece a few days back. Interesting, but of course a lot of it was lost on me. Would require some re-reading and background study to do it justice.

Anyway, am having a simple beer or two in congrats-mode for you...

Picked up the copies that I reserved of the magazine. Very proud of you know who.

Tonight, the little man wanted to walk up to the bistro for dinner with Dad whilst his sister finished her homework and had a shower. He said he had a good chat with Dad about school. By the time we drove there, he had written three very entertaining poems for us. Definitely did not get that talent from his mother.

Anne-Marie, I'm sure there must be an inner poet in there.

Oh and hey, maybe the young fella could be persuaded to publish some of his stuff here??

Could help lift the tone of the place from the sick, sick, sick, sick, sick, sick, sick...

Yeah, that would be nice Jarcob.
Hey Anne- Marie,
how about us seeing some of Josh's poetry eh?

Thank you Jacob. Told the little man what you said and he was quite happy to publish it so will let Michael do that. Don't expect too much, though.

He was very sweet to his sister today. His teacher has an auction on Fridays and they are able to buy what is on auction with the tickets that they get for the good things that they do during the week. His sister was punished by us yesterday and he said that she was not taking it too well so he wanted to cheer her up.

When the teacher asked what colour glow stick glasses he wanted, he said pink because it was for his sister. The boys made fun of him and thought it was silly that he was wasting his tickets on his sister. He told me that he didn't care because he knew she liked the glasses and would love the 3D dolphin stickers.

I thought that was very sweet. They might fight like cats and dogs sometimes then at other times, they do lovely things for each other.

Yeah, that's lovely, Anne-Marie! It really is a blessing when sibs can be such good friends (in between all the other stuff).
